I'm for making new titles that are account wide, especially UAX. dont change the old ones, they are fine the way they are.
Most titles dont make sense.
What's the point of exploring every corner of the map, or getting a perfect score on every mission? This is just as pointless as capping every skill, being drunk for x minutes, or all the other silly titles.

titles that might be account based:

source of wisdom (items identified by all characters count in the track)
skill hunter (must be achieved by 1 character alone, then counts as account wide)

titles that no way in hell could be account-wide
treasure hunter: ppl that have this title on a hard to run character? they run this wasting time because every noob can now run with a wammo and count as account wide title? no no thanks, someone run this with necro or mesmer, respect them

Anet are sending mixed messages, I think unintentionally, and it needs sorting. With one hand they offer character titles, and with the other they offer professions. It puts players into a horrible dilemma - Do you go for the titles and eschew the other professions, or do you roll the other classes and lose all your titles? Either way you have to lose out

The system is fine if you like to pour your heart and soul into just one character, and those people will be happy and tell the others to shut up. But you're screwed if you play multiple - all your efforts get diluted and go unrewarded. Just horrible!

Give credit to the player, not the character I say.

Some of you are saying some titles shouldn’t be account based. I got a question for you. Why is friend of the kurzik and friend of luxon account based? Why should your monk be able to wear the title when your warrior or ranger did all the ff runs to earn the factions? Why should gladiator title be account based when you used your warrior or monk to get the points, why should your ele be allowed to wear it? I love my account not one specific character, hence i made 6 different characters, hence Anet gave us many slots for characters and allowed us o purchase more character slots. Most of these titles have flaws in concept. It’s as if Anet is forcing a player to abandon the whole account full of characters and focus on one specific character. Yet they give you the opportunity to play every profession.

Yes I agree that protector and cartographer titles should stay character based. But I still say that some of the other titles should be account based, ie. Skill hunter, treasure hunter, wisdom.

Again My 2 Cents.

I agree that some titles should stay single-character only, but it's a pain in the butt to have to funnel all of my golds through one character for that wisdom title..

I have worked dammed hard to achieve the titles I have on one character. By making them account wide, it will diminish them.

You do not have to go for the titles ...... but the option is there if you want too.

Please Anet, do NOT make these titles account based.

PVP STUFF IS ACCOUNT BASED.

HELL NO. Thanks. =)

Stop complaining.

PvP stuff is the stuff that is account based. They are fine.

Anyone can get every title too easilly, except maybe the exploration and gold id titles.

I say fix the current ones. Glads for Zaishen/touch ranger or Rank for Iway, give me a break.

One of the poorest things done with GW is to reward the lamers, especially after releasing such a great conceptual game. World of Guild Wars here we come...

I've got another question for you... Has anyone here posted a reason to have them acount based except: "it's too hard/expensive"?
